Having only bought a car from Jim Reid in July 2020 I wasn’t really looking to change the car just now! I rocked up late on a Saturday afternoon ‘as my nose was bothering me’ following a Facebook post I had seen that week. Within a very short time I was met with a friendly, welcoming smile by Grieg and after a wee chat Liam was applying some trade plates and off I went for a very successful test drive.

Liam assisted with a list of questions and queries I had about the new car and indeed the trade in vehicle I now found myself giving back to Jim Reid. Nothing was too much bother with a smile and friendly banter a plenty.

We recently had the pleasure of purchasing a car from Jim Reid. It was a very efficient service. We found the car online and booked in for a test drive. Unfortunately we were told the next day someone else was coming in prior to us to view the car therefore we instantly called up to put down a deposit and test drive the car later that evening which we loved. Just a few days later our car was ready for collection. Unfortunately there was issues with the screen in the centre console however Jim Reid booked the car in to be repaired at their partnering garage. The car was collected and dropped off, even leaving us with a hire car. We received the car one day later. Absolutely love the car and service !!!!!!!

Jim Reid and his team made me feel very looked after. I was booked in for my service and MOT and noticed that my car was making a funny noise just before it. I sent a message to Jim to let him know and received a call within half an hour to arrange a courtesy car just in case they had to keep my car (luckily it was fine) as they didn't want me to struggle getting home from work.

Wanted a change of car but was not sure what make or model to go for. Following a phone call was sent a range of options online with photos, vehicle details and prices provided. Opted to go for a 2L VW Tiguan and following another phone call to confirm choice, deal was concluded hassle free with all transaction paperwork including private number plate transfer being managed on my behalf by Phil. I had been looking for a new car for a couple of months without success when I looked on Jim Reid’s website and saw an estate car that I thought would work for me. Following on from a test drive on a Saturday, I collected the car on the Friday. The process was very smooth, no hidden extras to think about and a very helpful salesman. Everything was Covid secure and both my wife and I felt comfortable with this. The car had been valeted to a high standard and I was very happy with my purchase. I recently bought a second car from them (first was an immaculate Audi S1 and this is a stunning BMW M2). I was not 100% sure on what I wanted as my next car but I didn’t hesitate to enquire about the M2 when I saw it on their website as they (especially Phil) are a pleasure to deal with.

They allowed me to test drive it on 2 separate occasions without anyone from the garage tagging along which I’m sure everyone appreciates when test driving a car as it allows you to get a proper feel for it without a salesman nattering on about how amazing it is and also holding you back from testing it properly haha!
After test driving the M2 and having a discussion with Phil, I was offered a brilliant deal that I couldn’t say no to - a better deal than I had been expecting as it’s usually a never ending battle with garages to get what you think is reasonable.
I picked the car up a day before my birthday and Phil had even arranged an additional birthday surprise for me which was amazing as he really didn’t have to- it made my new car buying experience even more exciting! But going above and beyond is just normality for Jim Reid Vehicle Sales now, they really put in the extra effort.

Everyone from Jim Reid Vehicle Sales are very friendly and welcoming as soon as you arrive, chatting away and instantly making you feel at ease. The garage took care of everything for me, it was very stress free and Phil was often in contact with me even on his days off just to keep me updated with what was going on.

Overall, my new BMW M2 is brilliant and I am extremely happy with my experience. I will definitely go back to them when it’s time for a new car. My partner has asked them to source his next car as he kept complimenting them on how much better they are to deal with than other garages he has been to.
