HOW WE ARE DEALING WITH COVID-19 at Jim Reid Vehicle Sales & Service
We are now fully open however we have made some changes which will affect your visit to our sales site. We have highlighted these changes below:-
As we are fully committed you your health & safety and that of our Team members we have put in place some post Covid Pandemic safety measures.
Although you can still visit and browse our cars stock on site we will ask you to sanitise your hands before doing so and ask you to keep a safe distance from others whilst browsing you will not have to wear a face covering or mask whilst doing this.
Wearing face coverings
If you choose to enter our Sales Centre , we again will ask you to sanitise your hands when entering & exiting the building , we will also ask you to wear a mask or face covering whilst inside.
Book an Appointment
If you are interested in a vehicle you have seen advertised on our Facebook page or website and you would like to view or test drive this car then please contact us so we can organise an appointment time for you which will ensure that the car you are interested in is fully sanitised before test driving. Also remember to take along your driving licence.
We are encouraging customers to take unaccompanied test drives however where this is not possible because of potential age restrictions on our insurance policy then, we will ask you the customer to wear a face covering whilst driving the car and the member of staff who will accompany the test drive will sit in the rear of the car whilst wearing a face covering. Please note that we will only allow a maximum of two people in one car at a time.
We have recently made some changes to our opening hours however if it is not possible for you to visit during these times then we would welcome you to request an ‘out of hours appointment’ which we are happy to see if we can accommodate.

We have invested heavily in virus prevention measures ie, Sneeze Screens in offices, Social Distancing compliant, COVID -19 Signage, hand sanitiser available and a vehicle interior ‘Sanity Ozone’ machine allowing us to treat every customers car which visits our Service Centre and our Sales Cars.

FREE SAFE Local Collection & Delivery Service
Despite the lifting of lockdown we will continue to offer this convenient option for our customers. This involves us safely, visiting your home or place of work to collect your car , helping you save time. Once the work has been carried out on your car, we will take payment over the phone, by credit or debit card ,emailing the invoice, receipt and any other paperwork via email. On receipt of payment we will fully sanitise and clean your car before returning it to your door where a ‘fully social distancing compliant’ handover of the keys will take place.
Dropping off your car
We have erected an outside canopy and signage giving you clear guidance during your visit to drop off & collect your car for Service, MOT or Repair. We encourage customers not to enter the Service Centre building unless wearing a face covering and asked to do so.
FREE Loan Cars
Although we are encouraging customers to take advantage of the two excellent processes above, there will be times where a loan vehicle is required. Where this is the case, the loan car will be sainitised before and after your use and all we expect you to do is return it undamaged and with the same amount of fuel you collected it with.
