We are a family owned business, run by husband and wife team Jim & Gail Reid. We started our business on 01/02/03 an unforgettable date!

We are fully independent with no tie-ins with finance companies or manufacturers, giving us the opportunity to give you full, impartial advice on all makes & models and finance packages.

We have employed the best people to supply the best customer care. Meet 'Team Reid' below:-

Jim Reid- Director

After leaving school at the age of 16, Jim joined Harper Motor Company(Ford) in Aberdeen as a YTS Parts Person moving to Lawrence of Kemnay (Vauxhall) to finish his apprenticeship. Jim was asked to join the very successful sales team at LofK in 1993 and successfully attained position of Sales Manager in 1999. Jim left LofK to start his own business in December 2002 after 15 years service. "Starting my own business was the right thing to do, I wanted to provide customers with a traditional sales service where they did not feel under pressure, something I feel we have achieved"

We are always striving to better ourselves by taking onboard any suggestion made by our customers to better our Customer Care or our Aftersales Service, we have recently set up our very own Social Networking Site to help achieve this by posting Special Offers, Blogs and Latest News & Views, giving our Members a chance to interact with us Socially. Gail Reid - Director

Joint Director… but importantly my wife and mother of our two teenage children, Laura and Liam. Gail has been the driver behind our success. When I came home from work one day as Sales Manager at a local car dealership and told her that I would love to start up on my own, she asked me ,what had taken me so long? With support like that you can’t go wrong. When we started in business back in February 2003, Gail and I were ‘Jim Reid Vehicle Sales’. We simply HAD to do everything ourselves. That meant buying, selling, answering the phone, washing, cleaning and polishing every car, collecting and delivering cars even cleaning the toilets I mean EVERYTHING, 7 days a week, this with two young children to bring up. Looking back it was only our joint determination to make the business work that has made us succeed. However without Gails support , I would never have achieved my dream. Thank You Gail. Gail will now be found in our cosy office taking care of paperwork and answering the phone.

Phil Buchan- Sales Manager

Phil joined us officially in May 2009, after working with us on a casual business during his spare time away from his University work. With no previous sales experience Phil has done exceptionally since his arrival this is mainly due to the fact that he loves dealing with people. Phil is responsible for for the upkeep of our site here at KIntore and ensuring it runs smoothly. Our Facebook page and Social Network has been designed and run by Phil. Not only this but he is the face of Jim Reid Vehicle Sales when it comes to any promotions & any Events ensuring that people attend. In his spare time (which is limited, being in the motor trade) he is a dedicated follower of his Christian faith and even has his own band and monthly Christian worship for the youth called “Engage’ see more at www.engageyouth.org.uk He can plays the guitar and drums( not at the same time) and is a very good badminton player. He is also a keen photographer and F1 follower. 

In October 2011 Phil and my daughter Laura got Engaged which we are all delighted with, so looking forward to the Wedding in 2014! Phil was made Sales Manager, as a reward for all his hard work, loyalty and deidication to JRVS, well done Phil keep up the great work.

Andy McKay- Sales Consultant

Andy joined us in January 2011. This is his first full time job and has settled well into the team. Andy is completely passionate about cars which shines through with his enthusiastic presentation of vehicles and his keenest to help customers. Gail and I have know Andy since he was at Nursery School many years ago, he tells me that his burning desire to sell cars came from a Business Presentation I (Jim) made to his Primary 7 School Class just after I started in business, amazing!!!

Although none of us ever stop learning, we have decided to drop the 'Trainee' tag from Andy's title due to his amazing first year with us. Andy is fully trained in all aspects of the Sales Process including ITC/FSA which allows him to sell Insurance based products. Andy is also responisble for upkeeping our website, so if there is still a vehicle on there that has been sold or something with the wrong price or specification , he is the man to speak to!

Kenny Dow -Valeter

This is Kenny's second time with us leaving briefly at the end of 2010 but returning as senior valeter in March 2011. Kenny is well know in the North East for is high quality valets and although he spends most of his time cleaning and polishing cars on site at Kintore you will often see him in and around the area with the Valet Van where he is fully equipted to valet your car at your home or work. Certainly one of the hardest workers I have ever employed but without doubt the best Car Valeter that I know. Kenny loves his music and his iphone4 and always on the look for a bargain.

Esther Rennie-Valter

Last but not least in our team is Esther who again started with us late January 2011. Esther is also from Kemnay and has worked as a Domestic Cleaner for the last 7 years, so making the change to cleaning cars has not been a major problem. Esther works  in valeting department and although admits that it's very hard work and never ending you will always find her with a smile on her face. 

The Saturday Cleaning Team- Liam & Ryan

This team is made up of my son Liam and Kenny's son Ryan who brave the elements almost every Saturday to keep our stock looking clean and tidy. Liam is also a budding Salesman so don't be surprised if after passing the time of day with Liam in the Yard you suddenly find yourself driving away with your new car (that's my boy!) Liam will also be featuring in our Car Presentation Video's soon. Watch this space.
